Training
Rock & Refuge have provided a variety of training for staff teams and volunteers. This can be online, in person, or a combination of different methods. All training is tailored to the needs of the organisation and are designed following an initial consultation which is free of charge.
Supervision
Supervision is usually a monthly meeting which provides an opportunity for staff or volunteers to discuss and resolve specific issues that have arisen in their role. For example, responding to someone with significant mental health needs, or the personal impact of working with people who are in distress with limited resources.
Reflective Practice
This a facilitated group space which provides an opportunity to process, think and learn from a team’s actions and responses to difficult situations. Research shows reflective practice can increase learning, self-awareness and cohesion within teams working in highly emotive environments.
Psychological Therapy
Rock & Refuge also works with individuals who wish for a therapeutic space that is informed by an understand and respect for faith whilst acknowledging the true reality of issues such as spiritual abuse and difficult responses to psychological distress from within the church community.
